Golden Sands
The resort Golden Sands is located on a territory declared a protected territory in 1943 and is part of the Golden Sands National Park. It is the perfect combination of blue sea, fine golden sands and natural forest. This, together with it's amazing new hotels and lively main street makes Golden Sands a great holiday destination. It lies 17km north of the city of Varna and is the point where the Balkan mountain range meets the sea. 500 species of plants can be found in the park and the 200 years old sycamore, with a trunk measuring 4 meters in circumference, is one of it's attractions. There are also a lot of animals, some of them under protection.
Golden Sands is a modern resort, full of life (you will definitely experience this just by walking down the main street, surrounded by all the cafes and clubs on both sides). It offers a vast variety of water sports and entertainment. The landmark of the park - “Aquapolis” - is located in the northwestern part of “Golden Sands” and is situated in the forest.
