Kapinovo Monastery  Special Tours Related Topics  Monasteries  Veliko Turnovo  Icons		Kapinovo Monastery The church of the Kapinovo Monastery, near the town of Elena, features an inscription of the year of its foundation on the cornice above the altar: 1272, under Constantine the Quiet's rule. Following repeated destructions and restorations of the monastery, the church was built in 1835 by two self-taught masters from Dryanovo.
