If you are looking for adventure and steep peaks but at the same time you prefer quiet pathways and enchanting nature, Pirin mountain is the right place for you. Where to go? Everyone who visits this mountain should see the lakes and the peaks. Some of the most famous and liked destinations in Bulgaria are peak Bezbog, peak Vihren – the second highest peak in Bulgaria, Koncheto – a ridge with steep slopes on both sides, and the Tevno ezero lake. How to get there? If you come by plane, bus, train or by car to Sofia, you could take a bus to Bansko (also a famous Bulgarian ski resort) and visit Koncheto and Vihren. There are also buses from Bansko and Sofia to Dobrinishte, from where you can easily go to Bezbog. It would take you about 2-3 hours walking from the town of Dobrinishte to reach a lift, which leads to Bezbog. Inorder to visit the Tevno ezero lake you will firs need to get to Sandanski – another town in the Pirin mountain. Which routes? 1st route: Bansko – hut Bunderitsa – Predela – Koncheto or/and Vihren (11h) 2nd route: Dobrinishte – hut Gotze Delchev – hut Bezbog – peak Bezbog (8h) 3rd route: Sandanski – hut Kamenitsa – Tevno ezero (10h) How to get there? By bus: The route Sofia - Gotze Delchev takes about 2h 30min – 3h to Dobrinishte. There are buses from Sofia to Bansko - 3h. There are also buses from Sofia to Sandanski - 3h. By car: To Sandanski: take the road E79; pass by Pernik, Dupnica and Blagoevgrad To Bansko: pass by Pernik, Dupnica and Blagoevgrad and after Simitli continue along road 19 To Dobrinishte: after Simitli continue along road 19
