Let it snow...

Sat, 1 Jan 2011
Back when we didn't have Global Warming (which, surprisingly, brought about the coldest winter in about 1000 years) and the people in Barcelona still lived in blissful oblivion, without having to worry about GORE-TEX® boots and space heaters, and airports were always open during the winter, snow was a sort of specialty of Bulgaria.

During these wonderfully crisp cold months, the whole country puts on its fluffy white coat and it is indeed a feast for your eyes. If you are the adventurous type, then the time has come to grab your ski and head to Bansko and hang out with the world ski elite on 26-27.02 for the Super-G and Slalom Ski World Cup competitions. If you want to ski, while marveling at the breathtaking contrast of sparkling snow and black rock on the highest peak in the Balkans, Borovets would be the perfect spot. If your stay in the office is no longer bearable take a week off, get your backpack ready, put on your sunglasses and come ski with us in Pamporovo. If you have half a day free after a business meeting in Sofia - hop on the bus to Vitosha.
